AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED
AS THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN
DESIGNATION IN A CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING THE
ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, Texas,
following consideration of the application of A. E. Glenn, owner
of a tract of land out of the G. W. Couch and AA M. Downing Surveys
in the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas., as is more fully
hereinafter described, and .having held public hearing thereon,
in which all interested owners of property in the vicinity of said
tract were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in
connection with said application, have heretofore recommended to
the City Council for a change in zoning designation of said tract
as by law provided; public notice of final hearing of said recommend-
ation to be held before the City Council .having been had by publishing
the same in the Mid-- Cities News., the official publication of the
City of Euless, Texas,, on July 18, 1957, and following such public
hearing before the said City Council held in accordance with said
notice, wherein all owners of property situated in the City of Euless,
Texas, were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard,
the City Council deems it to the best interest of the health, safety
and general welfare of the City and its inhabitants, that the recommend-
ation of the said Zoning Commission be approved, which the Council
so finds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION I
TI?AT, the zoning designation of the property aforementioned and
as described by metes and bounds herein, be and is hereby changed
from "A" Single Family Dwelling District to "C" Commercial District;
that said property aforementioned is hereby more fully described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 300 feet South of the South
right -of -way line of State Highway No. 183 and the
West rig ht_ofHway line of Cresthaven Road;
THENCE, South along the said West right. --,of -way line
of said Cresthaven Road 1372 feet to the southeast
corner of said tract;
THENCE, West along the south line of said tract
512 feet to a point for southwest corner thereof;
THENCE, North along the west line of said tract
1675 feet to a point 300 feet south of the south
right.,of -way line of said State Highway No. 183;
THENCE., in a northeasterly direction in a line
parallel to the south right-of-;way line of State
Highway Noe 183 to the place of beginning.
SECTION II.
THAT the official district zoning map of the City of Euless, Texas,
be and is hereby ordered to be amended and changed to conform with
the provisions .hereof,
SECTION III.
THIS ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage as by law provided.
