HomeMy WebLinkAbout90 12-30-1957ORDINANCE NO. 90 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED AS THE TEMPORARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF DESIGINA -- TION IN CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, Texas, after con- sideration of application from the owner of real property herein described, situated within said City, and having held public hearing thereon, in which all interested owners of property in the vicinity of said realty were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in connection with said qDplica- Lion, have recommended to the City Council a change in designation of said tract, and as by law provided publication of notice of final hearing on said recommendation to be held before the City Council was had by publishing same in the Mid -City News, the official Newspaper of the City on the day of , 1957, and after said public hearing being held in accordance with said notice in which all owners of property in the City of Euless, Texas, were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to the best interest of said City and its inhabitants that such recom- mendation be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED-BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: 1. IT is hereby ordered that the official district Zoning Map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows: That the designation of the remainder of the following described tract of land that lies North of a line 300 ft. from and parallel to the North R.O.W. of Highway No. 183, to --wit: Being a part of the A. J. IIuitt Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a part of the same tract of land deeded to Almon C. Brown and wife, Eula Grace Brown by Dan D. Beasley and wife, Tirsah Louise Beasley of record in Volume 1721, page 552, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the East line of said tract of land 1366.6 feet South of its Northeast corner; THENCE S. 01 deg. 41 min. East 488.2 feet to an iron pin at the South- east corner of said tract, being in the North ROW line of State Highway No. 183; THENCE South 54 deg. 41 min. West along said ROW line 527.5 feet to an iron pin at the Southwest corner of said tract; THENCE North 01 deg. 30 min. West along -the fence line of said tract, 736.6 feet; THENCE East 432.5 feet to the place of beginning, containing 6.16 acres of land, more or less; owned by Dan Peters, be and is hereby changed from "A" Single Family Dwelling District to "C" Commercial District. 2. THIS Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage as by law provided. ADOPTED this 30th day of December, A. D. 1957.
