Euless City Council
June 12, 1962
The regular meeting of the Euless City
Council was held on June 12, 1962. Present were Mayor J. S. Anderson,
Councilnen Roy Braswell , Bobby Fuller, Billy Owens, and H. M. Huffman.
The meeting was opened with a prayer
by Councilman Owens.
1.
The minutes of the regular meeting of telay
22, 1962, the public hearing of My 31, 1962, and the public hearing of My
4, 1962, were read by the City Secretary and approved by the Council.
2.
A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and
seconded by Councilman Braswell, to repair Fire Truck Unit No. 51 at a rrrDin un
cost of $600.00. The vote in favor was unanimous.
3.
A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Owens, to accept a 1957 Ford vehicle from Black's
Funeral Hmr. This vehicle is a gift to be equipped and used as an emergency
vehicle for the Police Department and the Fire Department. The vote in favor
was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Braswell,
and seconded by Councilman Huffman, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 168
which amends Ordinance No. 119, setting the nrodiTium gallon capacity of gasoline
storage tanks in Euless at 20,000 gallons. The vote in favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and
seconded by Councilman Fuller, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 169, which
amends Ordinance No. 33, changing the zoning designation on 108 acres, more
or less, out of the Kitty House Survey, Abstract No. 678, to be zoned
Commercial. The vote in favor was unanimousl

A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and
seconded by Councilman Fuller, to call a public hearing for discussion of the
proposed Hm-r Rule Charter, on June •19, 1962, at 8:00 p.m. in the Euless Junior
High School Cafeteria. The vote in favor was unanimous.

A motion was node by Councilman Braswell, and
seconded by Councilman Huffman, to approve and adopt Resolution No. 52 called a
public hearing on the rezoning of twent -eight acres out of the A. M, Downing
Survey, Abstract No. 415, to be zoned Commercial. The vote in favor was
unanimous. The hearing is set for July 10, 1962, 7:30 p.m., at City Hall.

A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and
seconded by Councilman Braswell, to authorize the Chief of Police to use
prisoner labor to clean up the ditch between Milani Drive and Denton Drive.
The vote in favor was unanimous.
