MEMBERS STAFF VISITORS Marcia Brown Sherry Knight LuAnn Portugal Cristen Cirrincione - absent Mollie Snapp Allan Gibbs Eric Terry Jim Hamilton Carol Kveck Chris McAllister Mike McGehee - absent Barney Snitz - absent Vice Chairman Allan Gibbs called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: Vice Chairman Gibbs asked for a motion to be made to accept the minutes of the October 6, 2016 meeting. Board Member Hamilton made the motion to accept the minutes with a correction made on the second page and Board Member Kveck seconded the motion. REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR: Senior Librarian Eric Terry gave a demonstration and overview of the 3-D printer and answered several questions from the Board. UPDATE ON LIBRARY EVENTS: Diabetes: Everything You Need to Know, presented by the American Diabetes Association, will be held on Saturday, November 12. The Fun Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Speaker Clint Fuqua at 10:30 a.m. International Girls Day will be celebrated on Monday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. with crafts for girls of all ages. Food for Fines will run December I — 12. The library will waive fines for donated goods that will be given to local food pantries November is National Novel Writing Month. The library is giving out #NalloWriMo Kits at the Adult Reference while supplies last. The Euless Library Foundation is sponsoring Andy Mason: A Brief History of Christmas Music on Thursday,December 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The Library Board is invited to march with the Library in the Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Library Board Minutes,November 3, 2016, Page I of 2 Library Board Minutes,November 3, 2016,Page 2 of 2 International Games Day will be held on Saturday,November 19, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. DISCUSSIONS: 1. Board Member Gibbs went into further detail regarding Andy Mason: A Brief History of Christmas Music and invited all present to attend. 2. Board Member Kveck stated that the attendance at the Youth programs are continuing to increase. 3. Board Member McAllister inquired about the quality of the Wi-Fi accessibility and speed. 4. Mrs. Knight confirmed that the Wi-Fi was greatly improved with no problems. 5. Board Member Brown gave an overview of her trip to Washington D.C. and the Amon Carter Museum. CITIZEN AND VISITOR COMMENTS: There were no comments from the visitors. ADJOURNMENT: Vice Chairman Gibbs asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Board Member McAllister and seconded by Board Member Kveck. The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 p.m. Respectfully Submitted.
