AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY
FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; RELEASING SOME OF
THE TERRITORY FROM THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEX-
AS; CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION OF SAID
TERRITORY BY THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN
DIRECT CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
I.
THAT pursuant to a joint resolution passed by the Cities
of Fort Worth and Euless, Texas;
THAT the hereinafter described territory within the cor-
porate limits of the City of Euless, Texas, be and the same is
hereby discontinued as a party of the City of Euless; said
territory being described as Tracts C, D, and Z, said tracts
being more particularly described in attached Exhibits A, B,
and C, and shown in Exhibit M, said Exhibits A, B, C and M being
incorporated as if set out in full herein.
Said property is of at least three (3) acres, contiguous,
adjacent to the boundaries of the City of Euless and unimproved.
The City of Euless has population in excess of four thousand
(4,000) people and is located in a County in excess of two
hundred five thousand (205,000) people.
II.
THAT the City of Euless hereby relinquishes to the City of
Fort Worth all extraterritorial jurisdictional rights over the
territory described herein as Tracts A and D, shown in attached
Exhibits A, B, and D, under provisions of the Texas Municipal
Annexation Act (Article 970a, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
as amended). The City of Euless expressly retains all extra-
territorial jurisdictional rights to the territory described
as Tract Z, described in attached Exhibits C and D.
III.
THAT the City of Euless hereby consents to the annexation
of the hereinabove described Tracts C and D by the City of Fort
Worth.

THAT this ordinance shall and does amend every prior
ordinance in conflct herewith, but as to all other ordinances
or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict, this ordi-
nance shall be, and the same is hereby made cumulative.
V.
Severability Clause. That it is hereby declared to be the
intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs,
sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable,
and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of
this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid
judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining
phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this
ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such
unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or sec-
tion.
VI.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided
by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING at a regular meeting of
the Euless City Council on the 24th day of November, 1981; by
a vote of —_ ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions; GIVEN
SECOND READING AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless
City Council on the 8th day of December, 1981; by a vote of
5 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.

'TRACT C'
Being 2.7 acres of land situated in the A. J. Huitt Survey, Abstract
Number 709, Tarrant County, Texas and being a portion of that certain tract
of land owned by H. K. Huie, Jr., as described in deed recorded in Volume
4907, Page 666, Tarrant County Deed Records, said 2.7 acres of land being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the easterly right-of-way line of
Huntington Drive (a variable width public right -of -way) with the southerly
right -of -way line of State Highway Number 183, (a variable width public
right -of -way) ;
THENCE S 890 52' 49" E, along said southerly right-of-way line, 80.79
feet to a point in the intersection of F.A.A. Drive (a proposed 68.0 foot
wide public right -of -way);

right -of -way line, the following coureses and distances:
S 000 07' 11" W, 415.00 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left
whose radius is 450.00 feet;
Along said curve through a central angle of 300 00' 00", a distance of
235.73 feet;

whose radius is 950.00 feet;
Along said curve through a central angle of 15° 43' 55 ", a distance of
260.74 feet;

of a creek;
