Present were Mayor J. S. Anderson, Councilmen Billy Byers, Roy Braswell, Bobby Fuller, H. M. Huffinan, and Billy Owens. The meeting was opened w i t h a prayer by Counci lrnan Fuller . 1. The minutes of the previous meetin of August 28, 1962, were read by the City Secretary and approved by the Council• 2. Nt Nichols appeared for the second time before the Council to protest the noise at the drive -in theater. The City Secretary and the Mayor had contacted Mc Bakerich, owner of the drive -in theater, and N t Bakerich had agreed to remedy this situation. The Council agreed to contact Xt Bakerich, by letter, again and make sure he stopped this noise. 3. A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and seconded by Councilman Byers, authorizing the City Secretary to accept the bid IIAJ and escrow check No. 681, in the amount of $1,670.42, from Tri- Cities Development7' Corporationq paying for work of curb and gutter for property abutting Pipeline_;. Road. The vote in favor was unanimous. 9 The Council agreed on a three percent (3 %) increase in pay for all City employees effective October 1, 1962. Increase each fiscal year, as follows: first year 3 %, second year 2 %, and third year 1 %. 5. A motion was made by Councilman Braswell , and seconded by Councilman Byers, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 172, which amends Ordinance No. 33, providing for change in zoning designation in certain areas and amending the zoning map to conform with such amendment, and providing for an effective date. The vote in favor was unanimous. Q A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and seconded by Councilman Huffinan, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 173, which levies a tax on property in the City of Euless for the year of 1962, providing penalties, interest and legal remedies for the collection thereof. The tax is levied at the rate of seventy cents (70¢) per one hundred dollars valuation. The vote in favor was unanimous. _ 7 (Page Two, Regular Meeting, Euless City Council, September 11, 1980) 7.. The Council discussed the budget for the fiscal year, October 1, 1962 to October 1, 1963. A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and seconded by Councilman Byers, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 172, which amends Ordinance No. 33, providing for change in zoning designation in certain areas and amending the zoning map to conform with such changes; and providing an effective date. The vote in favor was unanimous. rol A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and seconded by Councilman Huffman, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 173 which levies a tax on property in the City of Euless for the year of 1962, providing penalties, interest and legal remedies for the collection thereof. The tax levied at the rate of seventy cents (70¢) per one hundred dollar valuation, based on fifty percent (50 %)valuation.
