AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 298, SAME BEING THE
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CREATION OF THE HURST- EULESS-
BEDFORD HOSPITAL AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE
NAME THEREOF TO THE HURST - EULESS- BEDFORD HOSPITAL ADVISORY
BOARD; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Euless City Council by the adoption of Ordinance No. 298 did
establish and provide for the Hurst - Euless- Bedford Hospital Authority within
the corporate limits of the City of Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Euless City Council to change the name of such
body to the Hurst - Euless- Bedford Hospital Advisory Board so as to more
accurately reflect the purpose and authority of such Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, THAT
Section 1
Ordinance No. 298, Section 3, is hereby amended as follows:
"The name of said authority within the corporate limits of the
City of Euless, Texas, shall be the Hurst - Euless - Bedford Hos-
pital Advisory Board."
Section 2
Emergency Clause
By the affirmative vote of four or more of its members, the City Council
declares that this is an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, property, health, and safety, and is an emergency measure within
the meaning of Article II, Section 11, of the City Charter; and the
requirement that it be read at two meetings, as specified in Section 11, is
hereby dispensed with.
PRESENTED AND PASSED ON FIRST AND FINAL READING on the 26th day of July, 1983,
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by a
vote of �r ayes, p nays, and C abstentions.
