handout. If there's a need to remove items from the inventory, there is a process
for deaccessioning the items. The City can sell or dispose of the items once they
are deaccessioned from the inventory.
b. Discussed the inventory process and the need to get caught up on the inventory.
3. Library Display—Marilyn Long
a. The current display is titled "Children's World." This will be changed out at the
end of March. Looking for suggestions for the next display title.
b. Will meet with the Sub-committee to review goals and plans. There's also a
process for tracking and moving items between buildings, locations etc., that will
need to be followed.
4. Heritage Park Coordinator—Gary Park
a. Helen Payton contacted a company to repair the Player Piano inside the Fuller
House. The technician looked at the Piano and is confident he can fix the
problem. Mr. and Mrs. Payton will pay to fix the Player Piano and the Committee
was thankful for the gesture.
b. The technician can also fix the Victrola. The Committee was agreeable to having
the Victrola fixed, however, they will wait to see how work on the Player Piano
goes before fixing the Victrola.
c. The technician also felt sure that the Organ in the Museum can also be fixed but
it would cost over$2,000. The Committee will wait on fixing the Organ for now.
d. Staff is meeting with a contractor to complete the Blacksmith Shop.
5. Euless Marker—Weldon Cannon
a. Has information for an application for a Mrs. Trigg "Mother of Euless" marker if
anyone was interested in funding the marker. Mr. Cannon believes that Mary
Ann Whitson Trigg, the mother in-law of Elisha Adam Euless, deserves credit as a
significant person in the founding of the City of Euless. She owned hundreds of
acres of the land that makes up current Euless. Elisha Adam Euless married Mary
Ann Trigg's daughter,Judy Ann Trigg. Mr. Euless purchased much of the land
making up Euless from his mother in-law, Mary Ann Whitson Trigg.
b. Mr. Cannon has several other ideas for markers, including one for a Grange Hall.
Work on this marker may have to wait until after the Highway 183 constructions.

a. Still working on Joe Cannon's interview.
10. Historical Albums—Marilyn Long
a. Has been working closely with Staff on various procedures for the project. Will
also need to compare information with City Hall about all the articles that the
City collects and what the Committee collects.
b. Indicated the need to perhaps change the Wednesday "work day" to monthly or
quarterly meeting rather than weekly. It might be more productive to schedule
longer work days to allow various members to drive into town and stay longer to
help complete projects. Others who are available on a weekly basis can still
continue meeting weekly if they choose.
11. Artifact Recovery—Andy Weinzapfel
a. Metal detecting at the Methodist Admin building is pending. The building hasn't
been torn down yet due to possible Asbestos concerns.
12. Historical Tree Program—No Report
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
1. Reported that new member Mary Cinquemani hasn't been able to attend a meeting due
to scheduling conflict in almost a year. Ms. Wright noted that Ms. Cinquemani recently
wrote a letter of resignation from the Committee due to her inability to attend meetings
or events. The members expressed gratitude for Ms. Cincquemani's consideration and
resigning from the Committee. A few members on the Committee haven't attended a
meeting in over five to eight years.
STAFF REPORT
1. Previously, members requested making structural changes to the stage in the Museum.
Because of the age of the building, any major work done to the building will trigger
various ADA requirements which are quite expensive. The stage cannot be changed.
2. Some members also requested adding more electrical outlets to the Museum. This
cannot be done as well. Ballpark figure for these projects was over$20,000.
COMMITTEE REPORT
1. Bill Steel will be giving a very interesting presentation about Cave Explorations at the
Mary Lib Saleh Library on January 12, 2017 at 7 p.m. Mary Lib Saleh invited the
members to attend if they were able.
2. Weldon Cannon reported that Bill Byers celebrated his 90th birthday this past weekend
at the Euless FUMC. Mr. Cannon was very happy to meet up with James Horace Fuller,
Betty Fuller's husband, at the event. Mr. Cannon and Mr. Fuller grew up together.
3. Don Martin recently had surgery and everything went very well. He thanked everyone
for their prayers.
