A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE MOBILE
GIS RESPONSE UNIT TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the citizens of Tarrant
County and surrounding counties, that the Mobile GIS Response Unit be operated for
the 2017-2018 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the
Office of the Governor funds, that the funds will be returned to the Office of the
Governor in full; and
WHEREAS, the City Council designates the Mayor as the grantee's authorized
official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or
terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City of Euless approves submission of the grant application for the Mobile
GIS Response Unit to the Office of the Governor.
SECTION 2.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
February 14, 2017, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
