Regular Meeting
Euless City Council
January 22, 1963
The regular meeting of the Euless City Council
was held on January 22, 1963. Present were Mayor J. S. Anderson, Councilmen
Billy Owens, H. M. Huffinan, Bobby Fuller, Roy Braswell, and Billy Byers.
Visitors i n attendance were Mrs. James Cribbs,
Messrs. A. T. Sellers and Hershel Morgan.
The invocation was given by Attorney James Cribbs.
The minutes of the previous council meeting of
January 8, 1963, were approved by the Council.

Interested parties in favor of the rezoning
request of Tri- Cities Development Corporation were B. J. Reaves, Bill Pasteur,
Xt Douglass and A. T. Sellers.
2.
Nk Mullen, representing North American
Baptists, appeared before the Council requesting permission for a Mobile Mission
Unit to be located at 221 North Sheppard Drive.
A motion was made by Councilman Byers, and
seconded by Councilman Huffman, granting a temporary permit for a Mobile Mission
Unit at above location, good for one year from date temporary unit is moved
onto the property, permission to use septic tank until sanitary sewer is avail-
able and permission to grade street and use until paving is put in. The vote
is favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and
seconded by Councilman Owens, approving and adopting Ordinance No. 194, an
Ordinance requiring a permit for Wrecker Service within the corporate limits of
the City of Euless, on second reading, as presented by the City Attorney. The
vote in favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and
seconded by Councilman Fuller, authorizing the City Manager and City Attorney
to settle the tax dispute between Henry Uselton, Jr. and the City Tax Assessor
and Collector. The vote in favor was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and
seconded by
Councilman Byers, to
approve and adopt Ordinance
No. 195, changing
the zoning
designation of a forty
(40) acre tract of land at
the intersection
of Huffman
Drive and Highway No.
157 from Residential to Commercial. Three
Councilmen,
Byers, Fuller, and Owens, voted in favor of this
motion. Two
Councilmen,
Braswell and Huffman,
voted against this motion.
The motion carried.
Ordinance No. 195 was approved on
first reading.

Nk Elliott and Xt White appeared before
the Council to discuss existing location of a wrecking yard in Tarrant Addition.
(Not in Euless City Limits.) The Council advised that they had no jurisdiction
in'that addition at this time.
