AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF WESTPARR COURT IN THE WESTPARK CENTRAL ADDITION
IN THE CITY OF' EULESS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE AND AN EMERGENCY
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, after careful
study and consideration, has determined that the portion of
Westpark Court, a public street hereinafter specifically des-
cribed is not being used, nor useful, nor convenient to the
public therefore, it constitutes a public charge without a
corresponding public benefit, and the public would be better
served and benefited by its vacation and abandonment.
NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The portion of Westpark Court situated in the Westpark Central
Addition, in the City of Euless, particularly described
in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
intents and purposes, is hereby vacated and abandoned as a
public street.
Emergency Clause. iy thr2 affirmative vote of four or more of
its members, the City Ccun_cil declares that this is an ordinance
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property,
health and safety, and is an emergency measure within the
meaning of Article II, Section 11 of the City Charter; and the
requirement that it be read at two meetings, as specified in such
Section 11, is hereby dispensed with.
III.
This ordinance shall become effective immediatly from and after
its passage as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws
of the State of Texas.
Given final reading passed and approved at a regular meeting
of the Euless CitY Council on the 9th day of October 1984,
by a voce of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.

A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF EULESS
Application to Vacate
Street No. Date: August 14, 1984
TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS:
The undersigned hereby make application for the vacation and abandonment of that portion
of the above named street particularly described in Exhibit No. 1, attached. In support of this
application, the undersigned represent and warrant the following:
1. The undersigned will hold the City of Euless harmless, and indemnify it against all
suits, costs, expenses, and damages that may arise or grow out of such vacation and
abandonment;
2. Attached, marked Exhibit No. 2, is a plat or sketch of the street sought to be
vacated and the surrounding area to be the nearest streets in all directions, showing
the abutting lots and blocks, and the addition in which the above described portion
of such street is situated, together with the record owners of such lots;
3. Attached, marked Exhibit No. 3, is the consent of the public utilities to such
vacation;
4. Attached, marked Exhibit No. 4, is the consent to such vacation of all the abutting
property owners, except the following; (if none, so state)

5. Such street should be vacated because: It prohibits development of a new
east west through street desired by the owners.
6. Such street has been and is being used as follows: The portion of street in

Being that portion of that certain public street situated in Westpark
Central Addition to the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEING a tract on parcel of land composed of part of the existing R.O.W.
of Westpark Court as dedicated per plat of Westpark Central Addition
to the City of Euless per plat recorded in Volume 388- 88,Oage 48,
D.R., T.C.T.
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod in the R.O.W. line of Westpark Court (a 60.0
foot wide R.O.W.); said BEGINNING POINT being 272.04 feet in an
Easterly direction along said R.O.W. line from its intersection
with the East R.O.W. line of Westpark Way (an 80.0 foot wide R.O.W.);
said BEGINNING POINT being in a curve to the left whose radius is
85.0 feet and whose central agnle is 45 degrees 37 minutes 43 seconds;
THENCE along said R.O.W. line and said curve to the left whose chord bears
North 23 degrees 38 minutes 01 seconds East 65.92 feet, an arc
length of 67.69 feet to a 5/8" iron rod being the beginning of a
curve to the left whose radius is 25.0 feet and whose central angle
is 72 degrees 48 minutes 33 seconds;
THENCE continuing along said R.O.W. line and said curve to the left whose
chord bears North 36 degrees 01 minutes 27 seconds West 29.67 feet,
an are length of 31.77 feet to a 5/8'• iron rod being the beginning
of a curve to the right whose radius is 60.0 feet and whose central
angle is 251 degrees 12 minutes 58 seconds;
THENCE continuing along said R.O.W. line and said curve to the right whose
chord bears North 54 degrees 14 minutes 49 seconds East 97.56 feet,
an arc length of 263.07 feet to a 5/8" iron rod;
THENCE South 00 degrees 29 minutes 13 seconds West continuing along said
R.O.W. line, a distance of 81.22 feet to a 5/8" iron rod being the
beginning of a curve to the left whose radius is 145.0 feet and
whose central angle is 45 degrees 25 minutes 07 seconds;
THENCE continuing along said R.O.W. line and said curve to the left whose
chord bears South 23 degrees'15 minutes 44 seconds West 111.97 feet,
a arc length of 114.04 feet to a 5/8" iron rod;
THENCE - North 45 degrees 21 minutes 52 seconds West crossing said Westpark
Court, a distance of 60.77 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
