GALA COMMITTEE MEETING
MEETING OF JANUARY 26, 2017

The Banquet Committee of the Teen Court Advisory Board of the cities of Hurst, Euless and
Bedford,Texas met at 2:00 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, Downstairs Conference Room, on the 26th
day of January 2017, with the following members present:
HURST: Jen Tucker
EULESS:
BEDFORD: Kathleen Toms
HEB Teen Court Coordinator— Mindy Eichorst
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Kathleen Toms called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. with two Board Members
present.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review and discuss Annual Teen Court Scholarship Gala Information.
Teen Court Coordinator Mindy Eichorst provided a few examples of invitations to show to the
Committee Members and both unanimously decided on the Jardin Flat design by PaperDirect. A menu
from the Hurst Conference Center was shown to the Committee Members and with much discussion a
unanimous decision was made to choose Menu#3 which was a mixed green salad, and either roasted
or baked chicken with potatoes and chocolate cake. The Committee Members looked over the Event
Proposal with the costs and asked if there was a way to have only one screen set up as opposed to two
screens. Ms. Eichorst mentioned she would check with Hurst Conference Center and see if that could
be done.
The choices for a speaker were Mr. Charles Clark, Custodian at Trinity High School, Euless, Mr. Kyle
Pekurney, Principal at Smithfield Middle School, North Richland Hills, and Tarrant County Criminal
Court Judge David Cook. After looking over each of the profiles, Kathleen Toms and Jen Tucker both
decided on Mr. Charles Clark as their top choice. Ms. Eichorst mentioned she was going to follow up
with the silent auction company All For G0000000d to see if they would be available on the date of the
Gala,April 27, 2017.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
