AN ORDINANCE. AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 795, ESTABLISHING
FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR WATER SERVICE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREIN;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS;
SECTION I
SECTION 3.3.6 - Connection Fee - is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.3.6 Connection Fee
Prior to receiving .service, each consumer shall, upon being connected to the system,
pay the following connection fees:

Sprinkler Meters: Installing additional meters to existing service.

In case of material increase, installation shall not be less than material cost
+ 15 %.
SECTION II
SECTION 3.4.2 - SCHEDULE OF MONTHLY RATES_ - is hereby amended to read as
follows:
3.4.2 Schedule of Monthly Rates
Monthly chnrges for water service for all users:
Within Corporate Limits
$3.50 Minimum + $1.25 per thousand gallons.
Outside Corporate Limits
$10.00 Minimum +`$1.25 per thousand gallons.
The above rates are based on the cost of treated water purchased by the City from
the Trinity River Authority of Texas = $0.87 per thousand gallons (cost of water
purchased during 1984 - 85 fiscal year). As the cost of treated water purchased by the
City from the Trinity River Authority of Texas increases from time to time, the charge
per thousand gallons usage shall be increased by a like amount effective concurrent with
such increased charge to the City. The minimum charge and /or usage charge may be
further adjusted by the City Council of the City of Euless from time to time.
SECTION III - CONFLICT
All other Ordinances and parts of other Ordinances inconsistent or conflicting with
any part of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or
conflict.
SECTION IV - SEVERABILITY
If any provision, paragraph, word, section or article of this Ordinance is invalidated
by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provision, paragraphs, words,
sections, and chapters shall not be affected and shall continue in full force and effect.
SECTION V - EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage as
provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING at a regular meeting of the Euless City
Council on the 12th day of November, 1985, by a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
GIVEN SECOND READING, PASSED, AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the
Euless City Council on the 26th day of November, 1985, by a vote of .,/ ayes, G nays,
and D abstentions.
