A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, ADOPTING THE CITY OF EULESS PROPOSED BUDGET
CALENDAR FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018, INCLUDING THE CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT AND THE EULESS
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BUDGETS.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to
establish a meeting schedule relative to the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2017-2018
budget; and
WHEREAS, the budget calendar establishes meetings at a convenient date and
place; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt a proposed budget calendar for the
Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget cycle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EULESS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council hereby adopts the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 proposed budget
calendar as shown in the attached Exhibit A. Dates are subject to adjustment due to
scheduling requirements. Meetings will be posted in accordance with the Texas Open
Meetings Act.
SECTION 2.
All resolutions, or parts of resolutions in force with provisions relating to this
resolution, which are inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions contained
herein, are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict only. The non-conflicting
sections, sentences, paragraphs, and phrases shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
March 14, 2017 by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.

August 14 and Adopt Budget
Tuesday Vote to Place a Proposal to adopt a Specified Tax Rate on the
August 15 September 12th agenda. Schedule Public Hearings on Proposed
Tax Rate for August 29th and September 5th. Schedule Public
Hearing on Proposed City and EDC budgets to be held August 29th.
Hold Public Hearing on FY2018 CCPD Budget. Approve CCPD
FY2018 Budget.
Tuesday Hold Public Hearing on Proposed EDC and City FY2018 budgets.
August 29 Hold 1st Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Rate. Announce date, time
and place of 2nd public hearing on the Tax Rate and announce date,
time and place of meeting to adopt the proposed tax rate for
September 12th.
Tuesday Special Called Meeting to Hold 2nd Public Hearing on Proposed Tax
September 5 Rate. Announce date, time and place of meeting to adopt the
proposed tax rate for Tax Year 2017 for September 12th.
Tuesday Approve EDC Budget. First Reading and Adoption of the FY2018
September 12 Budget. Ratify Property Revenue Increase. First Reading and
Adoption of Tax Rate. Adopt the Tax Roll.
Tuesday Second Reading and Adoption of FY2018 Budget (if necessary).
September 26 Final Reading and Adoption of Tax Rate (if necessary).
All meetings held at City facilities. Dates subject to change due to rescheduling
requirements.
