AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A REVISED TAX
ROLL; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of September, 1986, the Tax
Assessor - Collector for the City of Euless, Texas, presented the
Council with a tax roll effective for the 1986 tax year; and
WHEREAS, the Tarrant Appraisal District has revised the
appraised value of certain tracts of property, located within
the corporate boundaries of the City of Euless, Texas, by
reducing the appraised value of those properties; and
WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor - Collector for the City of Euless
has presented to the Council a revised tax roll setting forth
the reduction of certain parcels of real property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless find it is in the best
interests of the City of Euless and the owners of those
specific tracts to amend the tax roll to reflect the revisions
as to value submitted by the Euless Tax Assessor - Collector;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas:
I.
The tax roll for the city of Euless, Texas, as previously `
adopted passed on the 9th day of September, 1986, is hereby
amend to reflect the revisions as submitted by the Euless Tax
Assessor - Collector.
II.
Severability Clause. That it is hereby declared to be the
intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs,
sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable,
and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of
this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid
judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining
phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this
ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such
unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided
by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
