NO. 915 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET SITUATED IN BELL RANCH TERRACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF EULESS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The City Council of the City of Euless, after careful study and consideration, has determined that the portion of the public street, hereinafter specifically described, is not being used by nor useful, nor convenient to the public in general, save and except a drainage and utility easement over and across a portion thereof; therefore, it constitutes a public charge without a corresponding public benefit, and the public would be better served and benefited by its vacation and abandonment, save and except as to such aforementioned drainage and utility easement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: Section I. The portion of the public street situated in Bell Ranch Terrace Addition to the City of Euless, particularly described in Exhibit No. 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes, is hereby vacated and abandoned as a public street, save and except an existing easement for drainage and public utilities in favor of the City of Euless, its successors and assigns, over, upon, across and under that tract of land more particularly described in Exhibit "A" hereto and now incorporated herein. Section II. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage as provided by law. PRESENTED AND GIVEN first reading on the 9th day of December, 1986, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; and given second reading, passed and approved on the 1Ith day of January 1987, by a vote of q_ ayes and n nays at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
