Regular Meeting
Euless City Council
June 25, 1963
The regular meeting of the Euless City Council
was held on June 25, 1963. Present were Mayor W. G. Fuller, Councilmen Billy
Byers, H. M. Huffman, Bobby Fuller, and Roy Braswell.
The invocation was given by H. M, Huffman.
1.
A motion was made by Councilman Huffman, and
seconded by Ccuncilman Byers, approving the minutes of the regular council
meeting of June 11, 1963, as read. The vote in favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Braswell, approving the minutes of the special council
meeting of June 18, 1963, as read, with a note added that a full transcript of
this meeting is on file i n the Office of the City Secretary. The vote in favor
was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Byers, appointing David W. Smith, 309 Sunset Drive, as a
member of the Board of Equalization. The vote in favor was unanimous.
The Mayor instructed the City Manager to call
a meeting of the three member Board of Equalization, and t c also check on the
feasibility of the Council being able to examine the tax roll, possibly two
weeks prior to the time for them to sign it.

N1c Charles P. Woods appeared before the Council
asking permission to relocate the drainage ditch behind the Shell Station at
Highway No. 183 and Simmons Drive.
A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and
seconded by Councilman Byers, approving the relocation of the drainage ditch as
it appears on plans dated June 4, 1963, and presented by NA Woods, with the
stipulation that a comparative cost on a closed system versus an open ditch be
made by Mc Woods and presented to the Council as soon as possible. The vote in
favor was unanimous.

Mayor Fuller gave a report to the Council on a
recent joint meeting of the Regional Airport Zoning Board and Commission. The
Mayor stated that he had been elected chairman of the Commission and that Bert
Heyl and J. A. Horton represented the City of Euless on the Board. The Mayor
further stated that the first concern of the Commission would be height limitations
imposed on an area with a circumference of 33,000 feet, which area will include
the entire City of Euless.

The Mayor also reported on a meeting of a
heavy refuse disposal commission, of which he was appointed chairman by County
Judge Simpson. 'This commission held an initial meeting on June 25, 1963, which
was organizational in nature.

A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and
seconded by Councilman Fuller, approving and adopting Ordinance No. 191, on
second reading, as read by the City Attorney. The vote in favor was unanimous.

seconded by Councilman Byers, approving and adopting Ordinance No. 192, on
second reading, as read by the City Attorney. The vote in favor was unanimous.
