EULESS CITY COUNCIL
May 22, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
A Special Called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro
Tem Donna Mickan at 3:45 p. m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in the Mayors
Conference Room in City Hall, 201 N. Ector Drive, Euless, Texas. Those present
included Mayor Mary Lib Saleh, Mayor Pro Tem Donna Mickan, and Council
Members Linda Martin, and Glenn Porterfield.
Pursuant to Section 67.004 of the Texas Election Code, two members of the City
Council constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election.

CANVASSED THE RETURNS AND DECLARED THE
RESULTS OF THE MAY 12, 2012, CITY COUNCIL GENERAL
ELECTION
City Secretary Kim Sutter presented the results of the May 12, 2012, City Council
General Election:

Place 5 Glenn Porterfield 629 49.96%
Jay B. Jenson 161 12.79%
Bruce German 469 37.25%

TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 1,297

City Secretary Sutter advised that with no candidate receiving a majority of the votes
in the Place 5 race, a runoff election is necessary and will be held on June 23, 2012.
Council Member Linda Martin motioned to canvass the returns and declare the
results of the May 12, 2012, City Council General Election as presented.
Mayor Mary Lib Saleh seconded the motion.

Ayes: Mayor Saleh, Mayor Pro Tem Mickan, Council Members Martin, and
Porterfield
Nays: None
Mayor Pro Tem Mickan declared the motion carried.
ITEM NO. 3 ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:47 p.m.
