COUNCIL AND STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT
Panel members included Mayor Linda Martin, Mayor Pro Tem Perry Bynum and Council
Members Tim Stinneford, Jeremy Tompkins, Eddie Price, Harry Zimmer, and city staff
including City Manager Loretta Getchell, Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman, Assistant City
Manager Chris Barker, Police Chief Mike Brown, Director of Planning and Economic
Development Mike Collins, Public Works Director Hal Cranor, Director of Parks and
Community Services Ray McDonald, and Fire Chief Wes Rhodes.
Staff members present included City Secretary Kim Sutter, Director of Finance Janina
Jewell, Assistant to the City Manager Betsy Deck, Information Services Administrator Scott
Joyce, Library Administrator Sherry Knight, Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Morris, Senior Police
Corporal Rocky Fimbres, Police Corporal James Gordon, Police Lieutenant Wayne Pavlik,
Police Lieutenant Brandon Zachary, Senior Police Officer Chris White, and Assistant
Director of Public Works James Whitt.

Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman introduced the panel.

Finance Director Janina Jewell reviewed the mission and goals of the city as they relate
to the budgeting process. She reviewed the city's revenue sources, expenditure
considerations for FY 2017, water and wastewater rates, and debt obligations as well as
the city's budget schedule.
Assistant City Manager Chris Barker reviewed the capital improvement plan including
recently completed projects, current projects, and future projects.
At this time, attendees were given an opportunity to address questions to the City Council
and city staff.
Staff addressed questions from the audience related to the water meter replacement
project, senior property taxes, post office services, recreation center memberships, safety
of Himes Drive, status of the Glade Road bridge replacement on DFW airport property,
Glade Parks development, a memorial for fallen Police Officer David S. Hofer, and the
mosquito abatement program.
The Mayor and City Council expressed their appreciation to those in attendance for their
questions and comments.

The Town Hall Meeting adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
