GALA COMMITTEE MEETING
MEETING OF MARCH 2, 2417

The Banquet Committee of the Teen Court Advisory Board of the cities of Hurst, Euless and
Bedford,Texas met at 5:00 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, Upstairs Conference Room, on the 2nd day
of March 2017,with the following members present:

HEB Teen Court Coordinator—Mindy Eichorst
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Kathleen Toms called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. with three Board Members
present.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review and discuss Annual Teen Court Scholarship Gala Information.
Vikki Aulie and Pamela Aulie with All For G0000000d, a silent auction company, spoke to the Gala
Committee. One of the concerns of the Committee Members was that some of the items were a little
too expensive but maybe some other items might fit with everyone's budget, Some of the items that
Ms. Aulie suggested were some high-end purses, a few historical pieces and sports memorabilia.
There will be some jewelry, a few pieces that are over$100 but several pieces that will be around$40-
$80. Ms. Aulie mentioned there will be a"trip table"that could include local Texas and United States
trips and also international trips. She mentioned the Committee Members can pick a few of the
getaway trips. A few suggestions were Boerne, Texas, golf weekend trip for two people, Steamboat
Springs, Colorado, family trip for four people, and Branson/The Ozarks, Missouri, fishing trip for four
people.A few suggestions of the international trips were to Spain for seven nights for four people and
to France for four people.
Ms. Aulie mentioned that the company would donate 25 "No-No Bags"that contain one piece of
jewelry. The bags will cost$40 but the jewelry inside will be worth anywhere from $60 up to $265.The
buyers cannot touch or look inside the bag until it is purchased.
The concern of the Committee Members is the attendance at the Gala. Ms. Aulie suggested that a flier
be added to the Teen Court website and along with a link for people or businesses to sponsor or make
a donation.
