Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman introduced the panel.
Finance Director Janina Jewell reviewed the mission and goals of the city as they relate
to the budgeting process. She reviewed the city's revenue sources, expenditure
considerations for FY 2018, water and wastewater rates, and debt obligations as well as
the city's budget schedule.
Assistant City Manager Chris Barker reviewed the capital improvement plan including
recently completed projects, current projects, and future projects, including the public library
renovation.
At this time, attendees were given an opportunity to address questions to the City Council
and city staff.
Staff addressed questions from the audience related to the public safety staffing levels,
the Glade Parks development, traffic concerns, the City's homestead exemption and tax
rate, the trail system, impact of new development to the school district and city facilities
and services, and the proposed library renovation.
The Mayor and City Council expressed their appreciation to those in attendance for their
questions and comments.
