CALL TO ORDER

A called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order at.
7:45 P . M. , Saturday, April 7, 1984, in the Council Chambers of the
Euless Municipal Building, by Mayor Harold D. Samuels. Council-
members in attendance were Mayor Pro Tem Willie Mae McCormick, and
Councilmen Bob Eden, Robert Pippin, and Ron Sternfels. Councilman
Glenn Walker was absent.

CANVASS ELECTION RESULTS
Mayor Samuels advised those in attendance that the purpose of this
called meeting was to canvass the election results of the general
election held this date.
There were one-hundred absentee ballots printed, with seven persons
Voting absentee by mail, and 34 persons voting absentee in person by
voting machine, making a total of 41 absentee votes cast.

Mayor Samuels recognized Mr. Howard Wilkinson, Election Judge, who
presented the election results. There were 844 votes cast, at this
election. A breakdown of the vote is as follows:
Wait Smith received 197 votes for Counr..ii:nember Place 1;
Robert M. Pippin received 588 votes for [auncilmember Place 13
Glenn D. Walker received 449 votes for Cauncil.nember Place 3;
Scott Heitman received 376 votes For [ouncilmembei: Place 3;
Ron Sternfels received 592 votes for Counc1...member Place 5;
Carl Tyson received one vote for Counc:ilmember Place 3.
Mayor Samuels expressed the City Council's appreciation for Howard
and Dorothy y Wilkinson and the election clerks who assisted them for
their time in conducting the election.
Motion was rnade by Mr. Eden to accept the election results as
presented by Election Judge Howard Wilkinson. Mr. Pippin seconded
the motion.
Ayes Messrs. Eden, Pippin, Sternfels, Mrs. McCormick
Nays: None
Mayor Samuels declared the motion carried.
