August 4, 1964
Mayor W. G. Fuller called the special
meeting to order at 7:20 P. M. in the Library at the Euless City Hall with
the f o l l o w i n g councilmen present: Messrs. B i l l Byers, Bobby Fuller, Don
Warren, Billy Owens, and Frank Douglass.
Also present were City Manager Lee
Cowell, City Attorney James Cribbs and City Secretary Vada Ferris.
City Attorney Cribbs informed the
council members that he had been advised that a citation had been issued
to the Midway Park Homeowner's Association in the amount of $50,000.00 re-
sulting from the drowning of the
little
boy
several weeks ago.
After con-
' siderable discussion, Councilman
Owens
made
the motion that the
City Manager
Mayor and City Attorney investigate the feasibility of accepting the trans-
fer of Midway Park in view of the lawsuit filed by Mr. B. F. Norvell a-
gainst the Midway Park Homeowner's Association and to prepare necessary
papers for the transfer of title and acceptance by the City of Euless of
Midway Park for presentation to the Euless City Council at the earliest
possible date. Councilman Warren seconded the motion which carried unan-
imously.
The meeting adjourned at 8 :40 P. M.
