CALL TO CFU R
Mayor W. G. Fuller called the meeting
to order at 7 :10 P. M. i n the council chambers of the Euless City Hall. The
following councilmen were present: Messrs. Don Warren, Frank Douglass,
Bobby Fuller, and Billy Byers, Absent: Councilman B i I I y Owens,
Also present were City Manager Lee
Cowell, City Attorney James Cribbs and City Secretary Vada Ferris.
VISITORS
The following persons attended the meet-
ing: Messrs. Warren Fuller, Searcy Dobkins, B i I I Pasteur, Don Jarvis, B i I I
Bondurant and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ross,
SITE COMMITTEE
Mayor Fuller announced that this meet-
ing had been scheduled to discuss proposed sites for municipal buildings
and to discuss the selection of a committee to view the sites,
City Manager Cowell stated that several
sites had been selected and Mr. Donald Jarvis, Architect, pointed out the
mentioned sites on a map and presented an explanation of each site. Mayor
Fuller appointed Messrs. Warren Fuller, B i I I Pasteur and Searcy Dobkins as
a Site Committee to view the proposed sites and other sites and determine
the prices for these sites and present their recommendations to the city
council at the next regular meeting, September 8. The members of the com-
mittee agreed to secure site information as requested by the council at the
usual realtors fee with the exception that they cannot collect a fee should
land belonging to a member of the committee be chosen. After discussion,
it was agreed that the realtors fee would be included in the purchase price
(to be paid for by the person sell ing the land.) City Manager Cowell 1 com-
mented that time is most important in this matter and requested that the
committee report to him as soon as possible concerning their recommendations.
Councilman Byers made the motion that Messrs. Fuller, Dobkins and Pasteur be
approved as the Site Committee. Councilman Warren seconded the motion
which carried unanimously. (The committee and Mr. Jarvis retired to the
office of the City Manager to formulate plans.)
Mr, and Mrs. Dick Ross were recognized
by Mayor Fuller, Mr. Ross stated he was appearing before the council to
make a statement and to explain his reason for filing the lawsuit against
the City of Euless. Mayor Fuller advised Mr. Ross that the matter was being
handled by the City Attorney, Mr, Cribbs.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8 :25 P. M.
