A RESOLUTION RENAMING "HARRINGTON GARDENS
PARKWAY" IN HERITAGE TOWNE CROSSING TO "RIO
GRANDE BOULEVARD ".
WHEREAS, "Harrington Gardens Parkway" was platted as a City of Euless
street; and
WHEREAS, right -of -way designated as "Rio Grande Boulevard" coinciding at the
south terminus of "Harrington Gardens Parkway" and extending south has been
dedicated to the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS, the extent of right -of -way designated as "Rio Grande Boulevard" is
appreciably greater in length than "Harrington Gardens Parkway "; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has the authority to change street names; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless desires to change "Harrington Gardens Parkway"
to "Rio Grande Boulevard "; and
WHEREAS, there are no properties addressed along "Harrington Gardens
Parkway "; and
WHEREAS, all abutting property owners have been notified of a proposed street
name change;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The street known as "Harrington Gardens Parkway" in Heritage
Towne Crossing as recorded in Slide A, Pages 7743 and 7744, of the Plat Records of
Tarrant County, Texas, hereby be known as and identified as "Rio Grande Boulevard ".
SECTION 2. The City Secretary is hereby directed, after passage hereof, to
furnish a copy of this resolution to the U.S. Postal Service, emergency service
providers, Tarrant County and the Grapevine- Calleyville Independent School District.
SECTION 3. The City Secretary shall have this resolution recorded among the
plat records of Tarrant County.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED at the regular meeting of the Euless City Council
on the 14th day of June 2011, by a vote of 6 ayes, o nays, and o
abstentions.
