Home My WebLink About10-1340 04-13-2010 RESOLUTION NO. 10-1340 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 10-1333, BY LISTING THE LOCATION OF EACH EARLY VOTING POLLING PLACE AS REQUIRED BY THE TEXAS ELECTION CODE, SECTION 3.006. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Election Code of the State of Texas and the Euless City Charter, it is provided that there shall be held in each municipality in the State of Texas, a general election for the purpose of electing officials of said municipality; and WHEREAS, the Euless City Council ordered the May 8, 2010, General Election on January 26, 2010, by the approval of Resolution No. 10-1333; and WHEREAS, at the time of approval, the early voting polling places for the May 2010 general election had not been established by the Tarrant County Elections Administrator; and WHEREAS, pursuant to changes to the Texas Election Code (2009), each early voting polling place must be included in the election order; and WHEREAS, following the deadline of the candidate and write-in candidate filing period, the Tarrant County Elections Administrator has established the location of the each early voting polling place based on the election participants. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at a regular meeting held this date, does hereby amend Resolution No. 10-1333, by adding a complete listing of the early voting polling places as required by Section 3.006 of the Texas Election Code.
