REGULAR AGENDA REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 23. 19" PAGE 2 job training program is a service provided for city residents at no cost to the City. Councilman Frank Douglass moved to approve Resolution No. 92-790. Councilman Bobby Baker seconded the motion. Ayes: Councilmen Douglass, Smith, Baker, Boatright and Mayor Pro Tem Saleh ITEM NO. 2: APPROVAL OF SPECIAL REQUEST FOR S & A EQUIPMENT For the sale of used articles in a C-2 zoning at 203 S. Ector Drive Councilman Bobby Baker moved to approve the special request for S & A Equipment for the sale of used office equipment and office furniture at 203 S. Ector Drive. Ayes: Councilmen Douglass, Smith, Baker, Boatright and Mayor Pro Tem Saleh T Tr Ayes: Councilmen Douglass, Smith. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 23. 1993 PAGE 3 ITEM NO. 4: REPORTS Assistant City Manager Kay Godbey reported that City Manager Tom Hart was making a presentation on the Drainage Utility System to the National Finance Directors Association in Florida. Mr. McFarland reported that the city had received notice that it was being sued. A gentleman fell when a swing broke in a city park. 3�� Kevin Mercer, Assistant Building Official, updated the City Council on the Complaint Program. He reported that since the program's inception 14 months ago, 898 complaints had been received and only 20 are still open. It takes an average of 10 days to resolve a complaint. Police Chief K. B. Fuller told Council that the Police Department had been enforcing the seat belt law and though the Council may hear complaints from citizens, he pointed out that a recent fatality which occurred on S.H. 10 could possibly have been prevented if the driver had been wearing a seat belt.
