MID-WINTER PLANNING RETREAT MINUTES
JANUARY 21-22, 1994
Mayor Mary Lib Saleh called the planning retreat to order at 6:00 p.m. on
Friday, January 21, 1994, in Sherwood Shores, Texas. Those present
included Mayor Mary Lib Saleh, Mayor Pro Tem Bobby Baker, Council Members
Frank Douglass, Todd Smith, Charlie Miller and Glenn Walker, City Manager
Tom Hart, Assistant City Manager Joe Hennig, and City Secretary Susan
Crim. Councilman Henry Boatright was not present. After dinner a game
of Trivia was played using Euless historical facts.
Tom Hart reviewed the status of the goals the City Council members
outlined at the budget retreat held in August, 1993. He explained which
ones had been implemented and gave an update on the status of the
remaining ones.
The Council Members listed the concerns they would like addressed during
`ft. the meeting. Tom Hart presented a financial review of the first quarter
of the current fiscal year. The meeting was recessed at 11 : 10 p.m.
The Council Members reconvened at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, to
continue their discussions. Topics discussed included proposed projects
to be undertaken using the half cent sales tax and the Unified
Development Code currently being written. The calendar of events for the
remainder of the year was reviewed and the meeting was adjourned at 4:20
p.m.
