EULESS CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 29, 1994
CALL TO ORDER
A special called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order
by Mayor Mary Lib Saleh at 8:10 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 1994, in the
downstairs Administration Building Conference Room. Those present
included Mayor Mary Lib Saleh, Mayor Pro Tem Bobby Baker, Council
Members Frank Douglass, Todd Smith, Glenn Walker and Henry Boatright.
Councilman Charles Miller was not present.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT
City Manager Tom Hart, Assistant City Manager Joe Hennig, City Secretary
Susan Crim, Director of Public Works and Development Randy Byers, City
Engineer Paul Kruckemeyer
APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE
City Engineer Paul Kruckemeyer detailed the problem of erosion in Bear
Creek, East of Fuller Wiser Road, immediately adjacent to the Village
Green Apartments and explained the options for temporary repair or
permanent repair.
Councilman Walker moved to declare an emergency and authorize the City
Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Olden, Inc. , in an
amount not to exceed $90,000 for the permanent repair of a drainage
problem surrounding the sanitary sewer line and the creek banks with
gabion construction in an area of Bear Creek, East of Fuller Wiser Road,
immediately adjacent to the Village Green Apartments.
Councilman Boatright seconded the motion.
AYES: Council Members Douglass, Smith, Walker, and Boatright,
Mayor Pro Tem Baker and Mayor Saleh
NAYS: None
Mayor Saleh declared the motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
