CITY COUNCIL JOINT WORKSESSION
with
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Tuesday, September 6, 1994
The members of the Euless City Council held a joint worksession with members of the
Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday, September 6, 1994, in the Conference
Room of Building A of the Municipal Complex, 201 North Ector Drive, Euless, to discuss
the Comprehensive Land Use Development Implementation regarding gated
communities and private streets.
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and those present included Mayor Mary Lib
Saleh, Mayor Pro Tem Bobby Baker, Council Member Frank Douglass, Council Member
Todd Smith, Council Member Charlie Miller and Council Member Glenn Walker. Council
Member Henry Boatright was not present. Planning and Zoning Commission Members
present included Ron Young, Robert McMillon, Nancy Bright, Joy Baldwin, Billy Owens,
George Zahn and Carl Tyson.
Staff members present included City Manager Tom Hart, Assistant City Manager Joe
Hennig, City Secretary Susan Crim, Director of Development and Public Works Randy
Byers, City Engineer Paul Kruckemeyer, Assistant City Engineer Andrea Baxter,
Economic Development Projects Manager Bo Bass, City Planner Rod Tyler,
Development Services Manager Kevin Mercer, Public Works Street and Drainage
Superintendent Clyde Cullum, Fire Chief Lee Koontz, Police Chief Gary McKamie,
Planning Secretaries Barbara Chambers, Linda Lux, Donna Brown, Dolores Tijerina and
Jan Turner, and Assistant to the City Manager Modesto Mundo.
Discussion was held regarding issues related to gated developments, private streets, off-
street parking and police and fire safety.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
