DECEMBER 14, 1994
The Euless City Council met with the Library Committee on December 14, 1994, at 11:30
a.m. in the Administration Building Conference Room of the Municipal Complex, 201 North
Ector Drive in Euless to discuss design development for the new library building.
Those present included:
Mayor Mary Lib Saleh, Mayor Pro Tern Bobby Baker and Council Members Frank
Douglass, Todd Smith, Charles Miller, Glenn Walker and Henry Boatright; City Manager
Torn Hart; Assistant City Manager Joe Hennig; Director of Community Services Rick
Herold; Tom Cox, Director of Administrative Services/Economic Development; City
Engineer Paul Kruckemeyer; Bo Bass, Economic Development Projects Manager; Kevin
Mercer, Development Services Manager; Betty Yarbrough, Library Manager; Wes Scott and
Betty Fuller, Library Board; Danelle Wrightson and Maureen Arndt, Phillips Swager
Associates
Danelle Wrightson reviewed past action of the committee regarding site plan, floor plan and
interior design.
Bo Bass presented cost-cutting options for design development. It was the consensus of
those present that cost reductions be achieved by means other than cutting square feet.
Concerns were expressed about having a design development plan to submit to Council
for approval by the January 10, 1994 Council Meeting in order to meeting the construction
time line. Bo Bass will develop further options for committee and Council review prior to
the January 10 Council Meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:25 p.m.
