Call to order: 8:15 a.m.
Randy Byers distributed a spreadsheet on water and sewer funding. He
explained that we are down 8% on water consumption, however we are
up 4% on water billing. This 4% increase is due to new meters.
Randy is working on a report for the upcoming budget retreat that will
show dollar figures for all of these percentage increases and decreases
(Ex: 4% = ??$).
Mayor Saleh requested a report showing the status of each of the projects
on Randy's spreadsheet to include a time frame of completion of each
project.
Council asked that staff try to determine the number of houses that have
had sewage back-ups this year. The consensus was to keep emphasis
on sewer & CDBG's.
Mayor Saleh requested a survey showing what surrounding cities charge
for a drainage fee. Tom Hart stated that such a survey would be included
in the preliminary budget.

projects the drainage fund can be used.
Pecan Street
Paul Kruckemeyer stated that Hurst has indicated that they have no
problem with the closure of Pecan. Paul will conduct another traffic count
on Pecan.
Carl Tyson suggested some type of survey to find out what are the wishes
of the Morrisdale residents regarding the street closure. The consensus
was that staff should prepare a survey that includes all of the options that
there are regarding the street.
Staff will prepare and send a survey to the Morrisdale residents regarding
street closure. A draft will be presented to Council on Thursday July 13.
Paul Kruckemeyer showed a video showing several of the drainage
problems within the City, and gave the status of each.
The meeting adjourned at 12:15.
