Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the Hurst-Euless-
Bedford Economic Development Foundation (HEBEDF) along with representatives from
the City of Hurst, City of Bedford, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District
(HEBISD) and the HEB Chamber of Commerce on Monday, February 19, 2001, at 6:00
p.m. at the Pat May Center in Bedford, Texas.
Representatives from the City of Euless included:
Mayor Mary Lib Saleh and Ray Saleh
Mayor Pro Tem Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Carl Tyson
Council Member Glenn Porterfield
Council Member Veva Lou Massey and David Massey
Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie
Director of Economic Development Bill Ridgway
City Secretary Susan Crim
The invocation was given by Dr. Jeff Burnett, Pastor, First Baptist Church of Hurst and
Board Member of the HEDISD. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bedford Mayor
Pro Tern Karin Newell.
Euless Mayor Pro Tern Leon Hogg introduced the HEBEDF board members of the prior
year and current year.
The economic development directors of each of the three cities: Mike Morgan, City of
Hurst; Bill Ridgway, City of Euless; and Tedra Cheatham, City of Bedford, gave brief
overviews of the activity in their city during the past year.
Tarrant County Precinct 3 County Commissioner Glen Whitley was the keynote
speaker. He addressed the transportation issues facing the community.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
