New Joint Worksession of
Euless City Council

Euless Economic Development Advisory Board
SEPTEMBER 26, 2002
Members of the Euless City Council held a joint worksession with members of the Euless
Development Corporation and the Euless Economic Development Advisory Board on Thursday,
September 26, 2002, in the Euless Public Library Meeting Room, 201 North Ector Drive,
Euless, Texas. Mayor Mary Lib Saleh called the worksession to order at 6:45 p.m. Those
present included:

Council Member Leon Hogg Council Member Bobby Edwards
Council Member Charlie Miller Council Member Glenn Porterfield
Council Member Veva Lou Massey
Euless Development Corporation Board Members: Sonja Adams, Carmen Deithloff and Wayne
Marrs.
Economic Development Advisory Board Members: Brenda Jenkins, Alex Horton, Alaudin
Khuwaja, Robert Carter, Donna Mickan, Rick Vaughn, Robert Wooldridge, Michael Cornell and
�.• Ned Burleson.
Staff Members: City Manager Joe Hennig, Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie, City Secretary
Susan Crim, Director of Planning and Development Mike Collins, Director of Public Works Ron
Young, Director of Economic Development Bill Ridgway, Economic Development Special
Projects Manager Lou Baum, Communications and Marketing Manager Lori De La Cruz, and
Library Administrator JoAnn Rogers.
Harvey Yamagata, Vice President of the Buxton Company, and Bill Shelton with Community ID,
gave a retail trade assessment presentation regarding the strengths and weaknesses, visions
and dreams of development in the City of Euless. They reviewed the goals that were presented
to the City Council in 2001 by the Cornerstone Group.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
