Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the Hurst-Euless-
Bedford Economic Development Foundation along with representatives from the City of
Hurst, City of Bedford, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District and the HEB
Chamber of Commerce on Monday, February 3, 2003, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pat May
Center in Bedford, Texas.
Representatives from the City of Euless included:
Mayor Pro Tem Carl Tyson
Council Member Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Glenn Porterfield and Diane Porterfield
Council Member Veva Lou Massey and David Massey
Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie
Director of Economic Development Bill Ridgway
City Secretary Susan Crim
and
Euless Economic Development Advisory Board Members Sonja Adams, Rick Vaughn,
Linda Caram, Mike Utzman, Ned Burleson and Alaudin Khuwaja.
The economic development directors of each of the three cities gave brief overviews of
the activity in their city during the past year.
Ric Williamson, Texas Transportation Commissioner, was the keynote speaker. He
discussed the various highway projects in the area and described the overall history and
philosophy of the Transportation Commission.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
