CALL TO ORDER
Police Chief Leonard Carmack called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The panel for the Town Hall meeting included Mayor Pro Tern Carl Tyson, Council
Member Charlie Miller, Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie, Police Captain Harland
Westmoreland, Fire Assistant Chief Robert Isbell, Parks and Community Services
Recreation Manager Suzanne Hendrickson, Director of Economic Development Bill
Ridgway, Director of Planning and Development Mike Collins and City Engineer Robert
Barker.

New public safety laws
City Engineer Robert Barker gave a presentation on street projects including North Main
Street, West Pipeline Road between Raider Drive and Highway 10, Glade Road, and
West Pipeline Road from Raider Drive west to the City Limits. He also reported on
overlay projects scheduled in the near future and the status of new traffic signals at the
intersections of Harwood Road and Aransas Drive and at Driftwood Drive at Pipeline
Road. He gave an update on the water and wastewater replacement projects.
Director of Economic Development Bill Ridgway gave an update on vacant buildings
and land in the city that are being marketed for development.
Mayor Pro Tem Carl Tyson reported on the recent ordinance approved by the City
Council which will freeze the amount of taxes for disabled and senior citizens.
Council Member Charlie Miller discussed the reduction in ad valorem property taxes
during the last 10 years.
Recreation Manager Suzanne Hendrickson reported on park projects.
Police Sergeant Gary Landers gave an update on Homeland Security and how the City
of Euless is complying.

Chief Carmack adjourned the Town Hall Meeting at 9:05 p.m.
