EULESS CITY COUNCIL
May 24, 2004
CALL TO ORDER
A Special Called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order at 11:30 a.m. on
Monday, May 24, 2004, in the Conference Room in City Hall, 201 N. Ector Drive, Euless,
Texas. Those present included Council Member Glenn Porterfield and Council Member
Veva Lou Massey. Pursuant to Section 67.004 of the Texas Election Code, two members
of the City Council constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election.
Staff Members Present
Deputy City Secretary Becky Null.
ITEM NO. 1 APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 04-1176 CANVASSING THE MAY 15,
2004, CITY COUNCIL GENERAL ELECTION
Council Member Porterfield motioned to approve Resolution No. 04-1176, canvassing the
�.. results of the May 15, 2004, City Council General Election as follows:

Place 3 Bob Edwards 446

Mike Utzman 31
TOTAL VOTERS: 976
Council Member Porterfield indicated that no runoff was required. He stated the
canvassers noted what appeared to be a mathematical error in the official statement,
submitted by the recount committee chair, of the vote recount in which Bob Edwards is
shown to have received 445 votes. The canvassers agreed it should have been 446 votes.
The documents submitted by individual recount committee members verified the correct
number of votes received by Bob Edwards was 446.

Council Member Massey seconded the motion.
Ayes: Council Members Porterfield and Massey
Nays: None
The motion was declared carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
