Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford
Economic Development Foundation along with representatives from the City of Hurst, City of
Bedford, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District and the HEB Chamber of
Commerce on Monday, February 21, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pat May Center in Bedford,
Texas.
Representatives from the City of Euless included:
Mayor Mary Lib Saleh
Mayor Pro Tem Glenn Porterfield and Diane Porterfield
Council Member Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Linda Martin and Don Martin
Council Member Veva Lou Massey and David Massey
City Manager Joe Hennig

and
Euless Economic Development Advisory Board Members Linda Caram, Alaudin Khuwaja, Alex
Horton, Donna Mickan, Jerry Goad and Pat Quadlander.
Economic Development Directors Bill Syblon of Bedford and Mike Morgan of Hurst and City
Manager Joe Hennig of Euless gave development updates of the activity in their city during the
past year.
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Executive Director Jeff Fegan gave an overview of the
Airport's overall service during the past year. He reviewed their recent challenges including the
loss of Delta Airlines as a hub, the disagreement with Southwest Airlines over the Wright
Amendment and the delay in the construction of the people mover. He cited some of their goals
in looking ahead, one of which was the proposed incentive program for other airlines to relocate
to DFW Airport.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
