�.. BUDGET WORKSESSION
August 5, 6 and 7, 2005
Budget work sessions were held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 5-7,
2005, at the Star Brand Ranch Conference Center in Kaufman, Texas, to discuss
the proposed budget for Fiscal Year, 2005-2006.
Those attending included:

Council Member Leon Hogg
Council Member Linda Martin
Council Member Charlie Miller
Council Member Veva Lou Massey
City Manager Joe Hennig
Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie
Assistant City Manager Loretta Getchell
City Secretary Susan Crim
Finance Administrator Vicki Rodriquez (Friday and Saturday only)
Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald (Friday morning only)
Controller Gary Yakesh (Friday morning only)
The meetings were convened at 10:05 a.m. on Friday, August 5, and adjourned
at 5:10 p.m. and at 8:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, and adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, and adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
The council members discussed all areas of the general operating and capital
improvements budget for Fiscal Year 2005-2006 but made no final decisions.
Announcement was made that public hearings will be held by the city council to
receive public input on the budget at the August 30, 2005 city council meeting.
The budget will be voted on at the August 30, 2005 council meeting and the tax
rate will be voted on at the September 13, 2005 city council meeting.
