�., BUDGET WORKSESSION
August 4, 5, and 6, 2006
Budget work sessions were held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 4, 5,
and 6, 2006, at the Star Brand Ranch Conference Center, 1182 Star Brand
Drive, Post Office Box 1077, Kaufman, Texas 75142 to discuss the proposed
budget and related items for Fiscal Year, 2006-2007.

Council Member Charlie Miller
Council Member Glenn Porterfield
Council Member Michael Brown
City Manager Joe Hennig
Deputy City Manager Gary McKamie
Assistant City Manager Loretta Getchell
City Secretary Susan Crim
Finance Administrator Vicki Rodriquez (Friday and Saturday only)
Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald (Friday morning only)
The meetings were convened at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, and adjourned
at 5:20 p.m.; and at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, and adjourned at 5:06
p.m.; and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 6, and adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
The council members discussed all sections of the general operating and capital
improvements budget for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 but made no final decisions.
Announcement was made that public hearings will be held by the council
members to receive public input on the budget at the August 29, 2006 city
council meeting and on the tax rate at the August 24, 2006 and August 29, 2006
city council meetings. The budget will be voted on at the August 29, 2006 city
council meeting and the tax rate will be considered at the September 12, 2006
city council meeting.
