BUDGET WORKSESSION
August 3, 4, and 5, 2007
Budget work sessions were held on Friday and Saturday August 4 and 5, 2007,
at the Star Brand Ranch Conference Center, 1182 Star Brand Drive, Post Office
Box 1077, Kaufman, Texas 75142 to discuss the proposed budget and related
items for Fiscal Year, 2007-2008.
Those attending included:

Mayor Pro Tem Leon Hogg
Council Member Tim Stinneford
Council Member Linda Martin
Council Member Charlie Miller
Council Member Glenn Porterfield
Council Member Perry Bynum
City Manager Gary McKamie
Deputy City Manager Loretta Getchell
Finance Director Vicki Rodriquez
City Secretary Susan Crim
The meetings were convened at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, and adjourned
at 4:45 p.m. and at 8:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, and adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
The discussions were concluded on Saturday and no meeting was held on
Sunday, August 5, 2007.
The council members discussed all sections of the general operating and capital
improvements budget for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 but made no final decisions.
They reviewed plans for various programs outlined in the budget documents.
Announcement was made that a public hearing will be held by the council
members to receive public input on the budget at the August 28, 2007 city
council meeting and the budget will be voted on and ratified at that meeting. The
tax rate will be considered at the September 11, 2007 city council meeting.
