POLICE DEPARTMENT was commended for their out- standing service by David C. Garrett, Jr. , Chairman of the Board, Delta Airlines, and R. W. Allen, Chief Executive Officer, Delta Airlines, for their valued assistance on Friday, August 2, 1985, in the Delta Flight 191 tragedy. Within an hour of notification, 28 officers reported di- rectly to the crash site, and the remainder manned the Emergency Operation Center at the Euless Police Department, or provided other associated police services. In addition to on- duty dispatchers, off-duty dispatchers reported to work. The City of Euless is very proud of the excellent response and expertise that our Police Department exhibited during such a tragic inci- dent.
