Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the Hurst-Euless-
Bedford Economic Development Foundation along with representatives from the
City of Hurst, City of Bedford, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District
and the HEB Chamber of Commerce on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 6:00
p.m. at the Pat May Center in Bedford, Texas.
Representatives from the City of Euless included:
Mayor Pro Tern Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Tim Stinneford and Faye Stinneford
Don Martin
Deputy City Manager Loretta Getchell
r`.. Director of Economic Development Bill Ridgway
Deputy City Secretary Becky Null
Economic Development Directors Bill Ridgway of Euless, Bill Syblon of Bedford,
and Mike Morgan of Hurst, gave development updates of the activity in their
respective city during the past year.
Ed Ireland, Executive Director of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council,
addressed the assembly with a report on the Barnett Shale, its economic impact,
and the exploration of gas in the area since the beginning of horizontal drilling in
2001.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
