Members of the Euless City Council attended a joint meeting of the Hurst-Euless-
Bedford Economic Development Foundation along with representatives from the City
of Hurst, City of Bedford, Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District and the
HEB Chamber of Commerce on Monday, February 15, 2010, at the Pat May Center
in Bedford, Texas.

Council Member Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg
Council Member Linda Martin and Don Martin
Council Member Donna Mickan
City Manager Gary McKamie
Deputy City Manager Loretta Getchell

Following dinner, the meeting was called to order at 6:20 p.m. by HEB Chamber of
Commerce President and CEO Mary Martin Frazior. The invocation was given by
HEB ISD Trustee Faye Beaulieu. Bill McLendon, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Hurst,
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Judy Ramos, Director of Communication for the HEB ISD, announced that an
economic development survey is being conducted online to determine how area
residents perceive the quality of life in their city. She encouraged everyone present
to complete the survey and to ask their friends and associates to do so.
Steve Bowden with the Economic Development Department of the City of Hurst,
Euless Director of Economic Development Mike Collins, and Bedford Economic
Development Director Bill Syblon gave development updates of the activity in their
respective cities during the past year.
Euless Council Member Linda Martin introduced William H. Lively, President and
CEO of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee. Mr. Lively presented
information on the steps necessary to prepare to host a super bowl, including the
coordination of all of the area cities for traffic and security. He discussed the cost to
host the event as well as the economic benefit to the entire area of Super Bowl XLV
being held in Arlington in 2011.
