July 31, August 1 and 2, 2009
Budget work sessions were held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 31, and August
1 and 2, 2009, at the Star Brand Ranch Conference Center, 1182 Star Brand Drive,
Post Office Box 1077, Kaufman, Texas 75142 to discuss the proposed budget and
related items for Fiscal Year, 2009-2010.

The meetings were convened at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, and adjourned at 4:40
p.m.; and convened at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, and adjourned at 4:35 p.m.;
and convened at 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, and adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
The council members discussed all sections of the general operating and capital
improvements budget for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 but made no final decisions.
Announcement was made that a public hearing will be held by the council members to
receive public input on the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 budget at the Regular City Council
Meeting on August 25, 2009. The budget will be voted on at the August 25, 2009,
meeting, and the tax rate will be considered at the September 8, 2009, meeting.
