CALL TO ORDER
A Special Called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order by Mayor Mary
Lib Saleh at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, in the Precouncil Room in Euless
City Hall, 201 N. Ector Drive, Euless, Texas. Those present included Mayor Mary Lib
Saleh, Mayor Pro Tern Linda Martin, Council Members Tim Stinneford, Leon Hogg,
Donna Mickan, Glenn Porterfield, and Perry Bynum.
Others present included City Manager Gary McKamie, Deputy City Manager Loretta
Getchell, City Secretary Susan Crim, Deputy City Secretary Kim Sutter, Finance
Director Vicki Rodriquez, Assistant Finance Director Jackie Theriot, Police Chief Mike
Brown, Fire Chief Robert Isbell, Director of Public Works and Engineering Ron Young,
Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Assistant Police Chiefs Bob
Freeman and Harland Westmoreland, Library Administrator Kate Lyon, Fleet and
Facility Administrator Kyle McAdams, Texas Star General Manager Glenda Hartsell-
Shelton, Information Services Administrator Dan McLain, and Comptroller Gary
Yakesch.
RECEIVED THE FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION
DISTRICT BUDGET
Finance Director Vicki Rodriquez stated that the Crime Control and Prevention District
(CCPD) Board met earlier in the day for the purpose of holding a public hearing and
approving their FY2010-2011 budget. She stated that the CCPD budget for the current
year is expected to have an ending balance of $274,219. Revenues for Fiscal Year
2010-2011 are projected to be $1,586,022, which includes both sales tax revenue and
interest earnings. Operating expenditures are projected to be $1,552,618, and capital
expenditures to be $50,000, which would leave a projected ending fund balance of
$257,623, which exceeds the Board's reserve requirement by $2,398.
Council Member Bynum motioned to receive the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Crime Control
and Prevention District Budget.
Council Member Stinneford seconded the motion.
Ayes: Mayor Saleh, Mayor Pro Tern Martin, Council Members Stinneford, Hogg,
Mickan, Porterfield, and Bynum
Nays: None
Mayor Saleh declared the motion carried.
