HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-09-23 State of Cities EULESS CITY COUNCIL and HURST-EULESS-BEDFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Thursday, September 23, 2010 Texas Star Conference Centre 1400 Texas Star Parkway, Euless, Texas Members of the Euless City Council attended the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Chamber of Commerce State of the Cities Meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Texas Star Conference Centre, 1400 Texas Star Parkway, Euless, Texas. The meeting was called to order Chamber Board Chairman Geoff Graham, the invocation was given by Immediate Past Chairman David Medina, and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Tarrant County Commissioner Gary Fickes. Representatives from the City of Euless who were present included: Mayor Mary Lib Saleh Council Member Tim Stinneford Council Member Leon Hogg Council Member Donna Mickan City Manager Gary McKamie Deputy City Manager Loretta Getchell Director of Planning and Development Chris Barker Director of Economic Development Mike Collins Fire Chief Robert Isbell City Secretary Susan Crim Deputy City Secretary Kim Sutter Communications and Marketing Manager Betsy Deck Information Services Administrator Dan McLain Library Administrator Kate Lyon Texas Star General Manager Glenda Hartsell-Shelton The sponsors for the meeting were Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Harris Methodist Hospital HEB. Tim Tippit, Manager of Community Relations with Chesapeake gave an update on their company's community involvement. Joyce Soule, Director of Nursing, OR, with Harris Methodist HEB gave a report on their health facility services. Presentations on the State of the City were given by Beverly Queen, City Manager of the City of Bedford; Gary McKamie, City Manager of the City of Euless; and Allan Weegar, City Manager of the City of Hurst.
