HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-01-18 PLANNING AND ZONING January 18, 2011 MINUTES The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Richard McNeese at 6:40 p.m. for consideration of scheduled items in the Council Chambers in City Hall of the Municipal Complex. Chairman Richard McNeese stated there was a quorum of members of the Planning and Zoning Commission present. MEMBERS AND STAFF PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: Chairman Richard McNeese Vice Chairman Troy Mennis Commission Monty Huffman Commissioner George Zahn Commissioner LuAnn Portugal Commissioner Jeremy Tompkins Commissioner David Brown Mike Collins, Director of Planning and Economic Development Ron Young, Director of Public Works JT Ackerman, Public Works Manager Paul Smith, Interim Fire Chief Stephen Cook, Senior Planner Deborah Howard, Development Secretary VISITORS: David Hughes THE INVOCATION AND THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Invocation was given by Commissioner Huffman and the Pledge of Allegiance was given by Commissioner Brown. ITEM 1 APPROVAL OF MINUTES for called meeting of January 4, 2011 Commissioner Huffman made a motion to approve the minutes for called meeting of January 4, 2011. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Commissioners Huffman, Portugal, Tompkins, and Brown Nays: None Abstention: None The motion carried (5-0-0) Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes January 18, 2011 ITEM 2 CASE #08-10-RP — CONSIDER A REQUEST FOR A REPLAT Consider a request for a Replat of Main Centre Addition, Block A, Lot 3 and James P Halford Survey, A-711, Tracts 2A2, 2A2A and 2A3 to Main Centre Addition, Block A, Lot 3R in order to construct a Commercial Development. This property is located at 331 N. Main Street. Stephen Cook, Senior Planner, gave a brief description of the case. The applicant, City of Euless, is requesting approval of a Replat of the existing corporate office building at 331 N. Main Street that is zoned PD 1835 based on the C-2. The Replat will revise the Main Centre Addition, Block A, Lot 3 and James P Halford Survey, A-711, Tracts 2A2, 2A2A, and 2A3. The Replat represents a record of the subdivision property including an accurate description of blocks, easements and building lines. The Development Review Committee (DRC) has determined that the application is in substantial compliance with the Final Plat requirements of the City of Euless and recommends approval. Mike Collins, Director of Planning and Economic Development, stated David Hughes, the City of Euless consultant, was available for any questions. There were no questions among the Commission. -- Commissioner Portugal made a motion to approve case #08-10-RP. Commissioner Huffman seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Commissioners Huffman, Portugal, Tompkins, and Brown Nays: None Abstention: None The motion carried (5-0-0) ITEM 3 REPORTS There were no reports.
