Parks and Leisure Services Board
November 6, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Monday, November 6, 2017 in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman
Randy Jones. Other Board Members present:John Raab, Steve Doty, Roger Sickler, Salman Bhojani
and Jason Reyes. Members absent: Tiffany Smith and Mohib Nawab.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks
Superintendent Dan Dearborn, Recreation Manager Frank Ocampo and Administrative Secretary
Jordan Peterson.
Visitors present: David Osborne BESA President.
INVOCATION
Mr. Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the October
2, 2017 regular meeting. Mr. Sickler made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and
was seconded byMr. Raab, The vote was unanimous.

Mr. Reyes reported the following for October:
a. Total man hours for October 1-31 = 1051
• 569.00 Horticulture
• 385.00 Forestry
• 69.00 Greenhouse
• 6.00 Special Projects
• 22.00 Training
➢ Trimmed trees at police and courts buildings.
➢ Trimmed vacant lots on Cresthaven and Highland Dr.
➢ Tree removal at Villages at Bear Creek Park.
➢ Tree removal at Trailwood Park.
➢ Planted 12 Trees at Legends Field.
III. Athletic Report—BESA/David Osborne
• Update on association registration numbers/revenue.
IV. Recreation Report—Frank Ocampo
• Various project updates for FY18.
V. Directors Report—Ray McDonald
• Parks at Texas Star athletic update. Registration numbers/revenue.
• Park Board holiday dinner—December 4 at 6pm

ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
