Parks and Leisure Services Board
December 4, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 6:33 p.m. on
Monday, December 4, 2017 in the Park Maintenance Building by Chairman Randy Jones. Other
Board Members present: John Raab, Steve Doty, Tiffany Smith, Roger Sickler, Mohib Nawab and
Jason Reyes. Members absent: Salman Bhojani.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Terry Boaz, Recreation Manager Frank Ocampo and Administrative Secretary Jordan Peterson.
Visitors present: None.
INVOCATION
Mr. Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
November 6, 2017 regular meeting. Mr. Doty made the motion to approve the minutes as
presented and was seconded by Mr. Raab. The vote was unanimous.

c. Tiffany Smith— Heritage and South Euless: No items to report.
d. Roger Sickler-West park& Wilshire: Score keepers bench field 1 needs repair.
e. Jason Reyes—Midway & Blessing Branch:Trash in creek—public works.
f. Salman Bhojani—Bob Eden and Trailwood: No items to report.
g. Mohib Nawab—Kiddie Carr &J.A. Carr: No items to report.
h. Randy Jones— Parks at Texas Star: No items to report.

Mr. Reyes reported the following for November:

• Planted Bur Oak at Midway Park for the 5th annual Texas Arbor Day.
• Trimmed trees at Softball World entrance to parking lot.
• Trimmed trees at Parks at Texas Star Complex.
• Trimmed trees at Bob Eden park.
• Trimmed Crepe Myrtles on Midway drive.
• Gathered acorns for Arbor Daze tree giveaway.
